My Design Process

I wanted to create a design that was similar, or the second version for the citywide contest, which was what it was for. I wanted to make  the second version a past design that I made, but when I tried to make it I decided to make it into how the sketch looked liked. I failed at that, or at least I didn’t like the direction it was going, for I still wanted to make the second version of the other design so I combined the two in the computer and that's how I got to the final design.

After finishing this project I wasn't completely satisfied considering that I had to change the idea, and the way this came out looking. When I was creating this I realized that creating the reflection was partially difficult, but overall It wasn't that difficult to do everything else. When I was adding everything I added filters, and effects like glowing effects to add the visual hierarchy of the design. If I had to improve this it would be the text, and maybe the image as well by adding more effects.

This design was supposed to be a prom poster for my school's prom. My original goal was to create a forest with one main tree surrounded, and with a couple dancing with the text flowing down the design. I thought I could  do it something similar to the inspiration that I found with a image of the tree and forest in my head and tried incorporating it in the design.

When it comes to this design I liked how it ended up, with both color, and flow. when I was making this design I did struggle with making the images match or look like they are from the same image/source. When I created this I used different elements of graphic design, like outer glow, layer mask etc.

This design was for the citywide contest, and I decide to do a geometric water design, since there is many geometric designs, but its difficult to do a water design. During this It was somewhat of a struggle to create but I feel like it came out well considering it was geometric for a water design.
